Ohio Union Members and Representatives protest at Wendy's International Headquarters
Hundreds of Ohio union members came out to support BCTGM Local 57 members during a rally outside Wendy’s International headquarters in Dublin, Ohio. Today’s rally helped bring public attention to the plight of the BCTGM Local 57 bakers who have been working without a contract since March. BCTGM International Representative John Price, who organized the event said, "They're not asking for more, they're just asking to keep what they've worked so hard to obtain. This is a dedicated group of workers and their resolve will not be broken."
State Representative Dan Steward makes an appearance, while picketers carry signs reading "Wendy's don't Scrooge with us," and "Dave Thomas is rolling in his grave due to corporate greed!"
Protesters carry signs reading "Stop Corporate Greed," "Baker's Union is Here to Stay," and "No Seniority, No Pension, NO WAY!"
State AFL-CIO Chief of Staff Tim Burga and State Representative Dan Steward speak and help rally the crowd.
